Rebecca Emily Darling is a writer & artist living in Los Angeles.

She was born in Massachusetts, and grew up in a Victorian house at the top of a hill. Much of her childhood was spent wandering the woods, pretending to be a gothic heroine, reading L.M. Montgomery, and playing dress up in her grandmother's old nightgowns.
Her writing has appeared on Modern Loss, The Huffington Post, HelloGiggles, and Mamamia Australia. She is currently working on a speculative memoir about her relationship with her mother, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and dementia when Rebecca was a young adult.

Likes: fairy tales, cats, coffee, armchair psychology, vintage & antique textiles, old circus costumes, waiting in the wings, Micron pens, new journals, BBC period dramas, the Victorian gothic, & ghosts.

Dislikes: stories without enough women in them, direct sunlight, poor grammar, & leaf blowers.
