Rebecca Emily Darling

Likes: fairy tales, cats, coffee, psychology, vintage & antique textiles, old circus costumes, waiting in the wings, Micron 005 pens, new journals, BBC period dramas, the Victorian gothic, & ghosts.

Dislikes: books, movies, & TV shows without enough women in them, direct sunlight, poor grammar, & when people use the word "addicting" instead of  "addictive".

Rebecca Emily Darling is a writer living in Los Angeles.

She was born in Massachusetts and grew up in an old Victorian house at the top of a hill, where she spent much of her childhood wandering in the woods, pretending to be a gothic heroine, reading L.M. Montgomery, and playing dress up in her grandmother's old nightgowns.

Over her life she's worn many hats, working in a variety of creative fields as an actor, a vintage clothing seller, a photographer and art director, and a fitness teacher. She ran an online vintage clothing shop called Rococo Vintage for a number of years, as well as an Old Hollywood style photography studio called Rococoland Studios.

Rebecca's writing has appeared on The Huffington Post, HelloGiggles, and Mamamia Australia. She is currently working on a speculative memoir about her relationship with her mother, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's when Rebecca was a young adult.

Whatever the medium, Rebecca's focus is always on telling stories about women, transcendent love, & radical forgiveness.
